Each year, SHALVA’s children with special needs enjoy a two week summer break, far away from the hot city. For the parents of these children, it is difficult to remember a time when they could not rely on the desperately needed renewal that is a result of this critical break.

The New Center

In 2012 the new Shalva National Children's Center will be opened in Jerusalem. It will be the largest of its kind in Israel, servicing toddlers, children, teenagers and their families throughout the year...

Standards of Management

Because we are a non-profit public body that continually strives to foster positive change, Shalva is committed to attaining the highest standards of management and transparency in all we do. We hold ourselves to a strict criterion.

The Standards Institution of Israel (SII)

Shalva's operations in Israel have achieved ISO 9001/2000 recognition and certification for compliance with the highest international standards of quality management. Shalva is the first Israeli organization of its kind to attain this status.

Ministry of Treasury

In 2005 the Ministry of Treasury conducted an in-depth inspection at Shalva for the purpose of examining numerous managerial parameters. As expected, the inspection's results reflect stringent and meticulous norms of conduct.
