The Rehabilitative Day Care Center is a natural outgrowth of the Me & My Mommy Program.

Founded in 2003 on the basis of recognizing the importance of early intervention and its contribution to a sound foundation for the toddler's future development, the center is staffed with nursery school teachers and assistants for each age group, in addition to a professional team of therapists.

Therapies include speech therapy, occupational healing, physiotherapy, computer-therapy, animal therapy, sensory therapy (Snoezelen sensory room), music therapy and hydrotherapy. Leading experts in the field advise that the family be involved in the rehabilitative process of the special needs child. Therefore, we actively involve the parents in the therapeutic process. Twice a month, parents are invited to Shalva to observe and partake in their child's treatment plan, enabling them to foster proper treatment at home, beyond the doors of Shalva.
