The Israeli Minister of Education has announced that Prof. Malka Margalit will receive the Israel Prize in Education for decades’ groundbreaking work in the field. As chairperson of Shalva’s International Academic Committee, Prof. Margalit oversees Shalva’s research, inclusion and ensures the dissemination of our models and findings.

Prof. Margalit has held and chaired countless professorships and committees, leaving her mark on the international academic community in the areas of cognitive and learning disabilities, education, adolescence and more.

One interesting focus in her research is the effects of hope and loneliness on motivation and adaptive development. She identifies useful social, technological and psychological support systems that empower individuals and families struggling with the gamut of cognitive challenges.
Congratulations!
