A special delegation of School Superintendents and State Education Officials from the United States visited Shalva in April. Brought to Israel by the America Israel Friendship League, the group came to study Israel's formal and informal educational institutions, including special needs education.  

The delegation was clearly impressed with Shalva's program as noted by CEO William H. Behrer, III, following the visit. "Our visit to SHALVA was perhaps one of the most important educational visits of the week. Each superintendent was not only inspired by the work being done, but also left the center with new tools to help special education needs children in their district. One said, "the first thing I'm going to do when I get back is give this CD (the one you kindly provided) to my director of special education to show what is possible."
