SHALVA Idol will take place for the 7th year running on June 13, 2012.
The event will take place at the Jerusalem National Convention Center (Binyanei Hauma). The stage which has featured festival singers, Eurovision competitions, and the largest and most well respcted national events will take one evening to host the special children of SHALVA.
The hall promises to be filled to maximum capacity with an enthusiastic and supportive audience of thousands of people to celebrate the stars of SHALVA and their talents. Every child, from the highest functioning to the lowest, has an irreplaceable role in the show.
The event will be proceded by a "happening" in the lobby of the convention center in Jerusalem. Expect some surprises!
The event is produced to the highest standards and the children will perform alongside The Voice of Israel's singer of the year, Idan Amedi. The event will be hosted by children channel stars Dana Frieder and Oded Paz. Another exciting addition is the band "Nine Lives" which is made up of former combat soldiers who were injured during their service. The combination of the former soldiers up on stage with the SHALVA children is sure to be an exciting and emotional experiance.
SHALVA Idol is being run in conjunction with the Jerusalem Municipality as part of the "Special Needs Creations" festival. The preperations for the festival are underway and the SHALVA Jerusalem Center is bustling with activity and rehersals in anticipation for the big day.
