We were honored to host Israel’s Fire and Rescue commissioner Eyal Caspi and the senior command staff of the fire department.
At the end of the visit, commissioner Caspi remarked – “we are strengthened by the power, vision, and kindness we experienced at Shalva and it gives us the strength and commitment to work harder to include people with disabilities in society.
I personally intend to include disability training for firefighters and commanders in our centers. In addition, we will work to recruit and integrate individuals with disabilities into Israel’s fire and rescue operations.”
