Israel’s Minister of Welfare, Meir Cohen, opened the school year at Shalva.
We were honored to host him together with the Director General of his office, Sigal Moran, Senior Vice President and Director of Disabilities Gideon Shalom, the Civil Service Commissioner, Prof. Daniel Hershkovitz, and the top officials of the Ministry of Welfare.
During the moving visit, the minister said that “Shalva’s model is inspiring for children with disabilities and for their families. I wish we could create spaces like Shalva throughout the country.”
We definitely look forward to the day when every child with a disability in the country will have a tailored response, quality care and someone to take care of him!
